We're not journalists and we're not the club. We're HD and Jesse — two disabled Army veterans who couldn't stop talking about Liverpool, so we started filming it.
We're HD and Jesse — two healthcare professionals, two disabled Army veterans, and two lifelong sports fans who wanted to share that passion with the world.
Between the two of us, we've spent our careers looking after other people and our service looking out for each other. Football's been one of the few constants through all of it — something to lose yourself in that has nothing to do with a shift or a deployment. Anfield Anthems started as a way to hold onto that. Somewhere along the way, other fans started watching too.
What began as a couple of phone videos turned into a proper channel: match reactions, transfer news, and everything happening with the squad, week to week. The blog is where we put the stuff that doesn't fit into a ten-minute video.
We're independent and fan-run. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of Liverpool Football Club — just two supporters who happen to film themselves talking about it.
Healthcare professional and disabled Army veteran who can't watch a match without narrating it. Started filming matchdays because everyone in his life was tired of hearing about them secondhand.
Healthcare professional and disabled Army veteran who handles the cutting room and the deep-dive research — the reason the facts and dates in every video actually check out.
Every number below updates as we go — no inflated stats, just what's actually happened since we started filming.
